Carolina Klüft to moderate Nordic Sustainability Arena bringing together sports, research, and business for white winters

On March 7–8, 2025, the Nordic Sustainability Arena (NoSA) will take place in Åre. With some of Sweden’s most renowned winter athletes, researchers, and business leaders in attendance, this event creates a powerful platform to protect the winters of the future. Renowned track and field star and sustainability advocate Carolina Klüft will serve as the conference moderator.

“Combining the power of sports with science and business is an incredible opportunity. I look forward to this day, which will hopefully bring new insights and the energy to act,” says Carolina Klüft.

Inspiring and challenging participants

This year’s lineup includes some of the Nordic region’s top winter athletes and experts in sustainability and business. Highlights include:

  • Strong voices from the sports world: Charlotte Kalla, Anna Ottosson Blixth, and André Myhrer
  • Experts leading the transition: Mattias Goldmann, climate debater; Nina Ekelund, Secretary General of the Haga Initiative; and Annika Ramsköld, Head of Sustainability at Vattenfall
  • Business leaders: Monica Lingegård, CEO of SJ; Stefan Sjöstrand, CEO of Skistar; Sara Öhrvall, Senior Advisor and AI Expert
  • International perspectives: Susanna Sieff, Head of Sustainability at the International Ski Federation, and Riikka Rakic, Head of Sustainability at the International Biathlon Union

Nordic Sustainability Arena welcomes everyone who wants to be part of the solution: business leaders aiming to accelerate the transition, sports organizations striving to lead in sustainability, and societal actors eager to collaborate for change.

The initiative is spearheaded by the World Cup in Åre and the Swedish Ski Association. Founding partners are Vattenfall, Skistar, and DLA Piper, all long-time supporters of winter sports.
