Olympic Celebration, Prize Ceremony & Bib Draw

The 2026 Olympic Games are over but the memories of the battles, the disappointments and successes linger on. Together with Åre Municipality, we celebrate those who brought those memories to us at Åre Square on March 14. But that’s not all folks! Come join us for the Giant Slalom Prize Ceremony and the Bib Draw for the Sunday’s Slalom!

The World Cup Weekend is not only about world-class alpine racing at the National Arena. On Saturday March 14, we gather at Åre Square, for a number of reasons. We kick off the party by celebrating our amazing Olympic athletes together with Åre Municipality. On stage, you’ll see some of the athletes that are connected to the local region who, with dedication and hard work, grabbed a spot in the Swedish Olympic team 2026, such as Anna Swenn Larsson and Sara Hector.

The Olympic celebration is followed by the official prize ceremony where we crown the top athletes of the day’s Giant Slalom race, and the Bib Draw for the Sunday’s Slalom where the 15 best ranked Slalom athletes draw their start position.

The event is moderated by our well-known speaker Jesper Johnson, accompanied by a DJ – come celebrate and dance with us at beautiful Åre Square!
