Good to Know
The Arena
Experience the World Cup races at Sweden’s national alpine arena — uniquely accessible both on foot and straight from the slopes. The main entrance to the spectator area is located at Årevägen 180. Arriving on skis? Simply glide straight into the arena from the slope, with direct access just above the VM8 lift.
The ski bus stops just metres from the arena entrance. Please note you need to buy a ticket via Länstrafiken or use your ski pass as a ticket.
Food & beverage
A day at the races works up an appetite. Fuel up with a proper breakfast before heading to the arena, and take the opportunity to grab a bite between the first and second runs.
You’ll find food and drink options in the public area of the arena. If you feel like stretching your legs, central Åre is just a 15-minute walk away and offers a wide selection of cafés and restaurants. Please note that the area will be busy, so you might need to be flexible about when and where you eat.
Important information
Ticket control takes place at the entrance. If you haven’t purchased a ticket in advance, tickets will also be available for purchase at the entrance.
Bags brought into the arena may be subject to inspection. The following items are not permitted: alcohol, flammable liquids, weapons, and pyrotechnics.
Visitors arriving by car will be directed to SkiStar’s designated parking areas.
Inside the Arena
Inside the spectator arena, you’ll find a large grandstand offering views of most of the race course, as well as a big live screen.
For a closer, more immersive experience, you can also line the fences, where you’ll see the final gates and the finish area up close.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and a range of activities will be taking place inside the spectator area. And, of course, the races will be accompanied by a DJ and a live announcer.
